01/26/2003 Archived Entry: "Superbowl Anxieties"
English class thus far is going well. My professor is a stickler about just about everything required in your usual college course. Deadlines, paper lengths, formats, and revisions are heavily stressed. Her overall tone is a mix between energetic and nasal. She speaks a mile a minute, scans the room rigourously while nodding her head with every other point, and seems knowledgeable on all fronts. I think that this class will be beautiful.
Tomorrow's assignment is based on a free-write defiining "the working class." It is a simple assignment in that a 5 minute or less conversation would suffice, yet 1-2 pages is somewhat a stretch. Perhaps it seems daunting for the first assignment after a month of vacation. The mission is to not only do it, but do it right so that I can focus my energy on the Superbowl Game today. My roommate and I have lightly decorated the room for our Superbowl Party. It should be nice. While Jenn introduced the idea, I acted as the promoter. We are expected a good 11-20 people at any given time. This will indeed be interesting.
