11/10/2002 Archived Entry: "Progress Report"
By now I would assume that you have grown accustomed to my routine truant streak. Really, it is nothing personal...I just get lazy sometimes or I have work/sleep/reading/play to catch up on. I feel somewhat accomplished and on a good role here in my college endeavors. Keep in mind that I came into the semester with a 3.0 standing GPA. My goal is to not fall below this mark.
Here is a quick glimpse into what I consider progress:
---
English- B on first paper, As on grammar quizzes (i thought i left those things behind in high school), A on recent paper
Fiction- B- on recent 5 page assignment (two paper assignments count as 50% of final grade)
French- solid Bs on most assignments
Liberal Studies: The Human Experience- C-/C on Midterm, B- on first paper
Study Skills- Non-credit

Academic Advising week begins soon. In midst of trying to fulfil requirements, I am looking forward to taking something fun in the Spring. My advisor was not too thrilled on my prefering a Modern Dance class over a Pyschology/Sociology class. Frankly, I'm not too interested in taking either of the latter. I see how my peers cope with subjects like Chemistry, Calculus or Psychology now. I just don't see myself cowering such demanding pressure. We'll see.

Unfortuantely I am po and cannot afford the "o" and "r" to take me home. Instead, I'll be staying in Boston for the break. See your faceful grins in December.

Glad to see that you haven't fallen off the face of the earth and that your grades are looking good. Are you coming down for Turkey Day, or do we have to wait til December to see your smiling face?
